We are pleased to welcome Dr. Elizabeth Parker as a Senior Project Officer for the Asia Pacific Consortium of Veterinary Epidemiology (APCOVE). Dr. Parker holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland and has a diverse background, including work as a government veterinary officer and in mixed practice. She is a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Science in Epidemiology and Veterinary Public Health. Dr. Parker earned national recognition for her academic contributions at James Cook University and later joined Ohio State University (OSU) as a faculty member. She completed her PhD in Veterinary Preventive Medicine at OSU and is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, with a specialization in Epidemiology. Her research focuses on antimicrobial resistance in the environment and food chain. In her new role, she collaborates with Associate Professor Navneet Dhand to manage APCOVE projects across eight Asia-Pacific countries. We are excited about Dr. Parker’s contributions to our community.
